Frequently Asked Questions

Is DPBS Regulated Or Have Government Standards Or Specifications?

All Biologos DPBS is manufactured in a ISO13485 and GMP certified environment.

Why Do We Use DPBS in Cell Culture?

DPBS is used to maintain cells in a consistent pH so that they do not expand or contract. Within tissue processing specifically, it can be used to clean cells, or could be used in combination with other products to preserve cells that are grown or harvested from a donor.

How to Handle DPBS? Is it Safe?

When handling all biological products, it is a best practice to use industrial hygiene standards and aseptic handling techniques. If ingested, inhaled or in contact with skin, DPBS can cause tissue irritation.

How Does DPBS Work?

DPBS can be used to maintain a consistent pH in chemical and biological applications.
