About Alpha MEM Media

What is MEM Alpha?

Alpha MEM includes the non-essential amino acids, sodium pyruvate, lipoic acid, ascorbic acid, biotin, and vitamin B12. Comes with Nucleosides.

Difference Between MEM Alpha and DMEM

DMEM is a variant of EMEM, or Eagle’s Minimal Essential Medium. Both mediums contains the amino acids, salts, glucose and vitamins, required to provide a cell with energy and maintain cells in tissue culture, but the DMEM variant is modified to contain up to four times more vitamins and amino acids, and two to four times more glucose than EMEM.

This modified composition makes DMEM suitable for more specific cell types.

MEM Alpha Storage and Handling

MEM Alpha is supplied in gamma irradiated, sterile PETG or PETE bottles. We recommend that the MEM Alpha be stored refrigerated at a temperature of 2C to 8C. MEM Alpha has a shelf life of 18-24 months depending on formulation.

MEM Alpha is shipped ambient ground carrier or overnight, as requested by the customer.
